Treason Against the Truth
Some of the latest from the Vicar of Indifferentism, Francis of Rome.
“Let us think of those who have denied the faith, who are apostates, who are the persecutors of the Church, who have denied their baptism: are these also at home? Yes, even these, even the blasphemers, all of them. We are brothers: this is the communion of saints. The communion of saints holds together the community of believers on earth and in heaven.”
The Catholic Encyclopedia defines apostasy as, “the complete and voluntary abandonment of the Christian religion, whether the apostate embraces another religion such as Paganism, Judaism, Mohammedanism, etc., or merely makes profession of Naturalism, Rationalism, etc. The heretic differs from the apostate in that he only denies one or more of the doctrines of revealed religion, whereas the apostate denies the religion itself, a sin which has always been looked upon as one of the most grievous.”
The Baltimore Catechism defines the Communion of Saints as such: “The communion of saints means the union which exists between the members of the Church on earth with one another, and with the blessed in Heaven, and with the suffering souls in Purgatory.”
Thus, by simple deduction, an apostate does not belong to the Communion of Saints. This statement from Francis, at face value, is a heretical statement. We can not determine his culpability or level of ignorance on this matter, and so we have no innate authority to pronounce whether this constitutes formal or material heresy. We can leave that determination to a future Holy Pontiff. In the mean time, pray for Francis’ repentance because here is yet another example of him failing in his duty as chief Shepherd of the flock entrusted to him.
Not longer after this farce, Francis said on a television interview, “Pray for me, I need it. And if some of you don’t pray because you don’t believe, don’t know how, or can’t, at least send me good thoughts, good vibes.”
This further plays into the hands of relativists and progressive Modernists. It assumes that the hippie New Age idea of “good thoughts and good vibes” has some inherent value to assist Francis in his spiritual and temporal needs. However, the only way we can truly benefit from help and aid from God is through praying for someone while being in a state of grace.
Treason is defined as, “the crime of betraying one's country.” Here, we have the Supreme Pontiff of Confusion betraying his own Church by leading her astray with heresies, scandal, and indifferentism. He will have to give an account to God one day, and so pray to God that his hardened heart could be softened by heavenly graces. As long as we have breath in our lungs and hearts that beat, it is never too late for any of us to repent and seek the mercy of God. Whether you, me, or Francis.
