All Things Are From God Through Mary's Hands

I received slightly disappointing news today. Meaning I was hoping for a job offer to come my way that ultimately did not pan out. As I reflected on this news for a few moments, I was reminded by the reality that God has a purpose for all things, and nothing escapes His Will. Whether it is through His active Will or passive Will is not pertinent. What matters is trustful submission to the truth that all things are ultimately governed by God, and He always has our holiness and salvation in mind.

“To remain indifferent to good fortune or to adversity by accepting it all from the hand of God without questioning, not to ask for things to be done as we would like them but as God wishes, to make the intention of all our prayers that God's will should be perfectly accomplished in ourselves and in all creatures is to find the secret of happiness and content.” Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence

St. Montfort writes in The Secret of Mary: “God the Father, from Whom every perfect gift and all grace come, as from its essential source, has given all graces to Mary by giving her His Son, so that, as St. Bernard says, ‘With His Son and in Him, God has given His Will to Mary.’ God has entrusted Mary with the keeping, the administration and distribution of all His graces, so that all His graces and gifts pass through her hands; and , as St. Bernardine teaches, Mary gives to whom she wills, the way she wills, when she wills and as much as she wills, the graces of the Eternal Father, the virtues of Jesus Christ and the gifts of the Holy Ghost.”

All the more so when one is totally consecrated to Jesus in Mary, we ought to believe, and know, with firm conviction, that all things which occur to us ultimately have their place in the Will of God and is handed to us via the hands of Mother Mary, our Lady and our Queen.

Thus, we have no reason to dwell on disappointment or wallow in sorrow or clinch to frustration. Why have such sentiments towards a situation which God and our Blessed Mother felt was necessary for us to grow in sanctification? Let us give thanks to God in every circumstance, whether we think it benefits us or does not. Let us express indifference overall to our own thought into it. All that matters is we glorify God and honor our Lady. Nothing else matters.

“In all things give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you all.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. We love you. Save souls. Amen.
