Oh Be Careful Little Ears What You Hear

Thought of the day: Songs like "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus, "Truth Hurts" by Lizzo, Woman by Ke$ha, or the countless other songs that promote female independence from men are everything that's wrong with our music industry, and why so many great women are miserable, and aren't able to settle down even if they really want to deep down. Music like this fosters bitterness and a false sense of empowerment in women, when it really isn't empowering- it's slavery.

Going out in a crop top, getting plastered, and hoping to find meaningful connection in a bar, all while blasting songs like "Flowers" on the way there isn't going to set any woman up to find inner peace or happiness. Music like this is going to set us up to believe we are empowered when we are in fact being isolated from true connection and believing we don't need a man, therefore making us less connected and bitter.

Not everyone is called to the vocation of marriage, and may have another calling for their life. That being said, if we are looking for connection or to share our lives with someone, we should tune out the voices and music that cause us to believe we don't need the opposite sex. The voices we listen to, even musically, play a huge role in our lives and happiness.

Our culture is leaving people more isolated and less connected by promoting feminism and independence from men as empowering. Feminism isn't empowerment, its endless misery.

Our Lady said the final battle from Satan would be against marriage and the family and an attempt to destroy the family unit. What better way than to have people blasting music into their ears about not needing the opposite sex and poisoning our minds to think we don't need men or that men don't need women? Is our music making us miserable, even if the beat is happy? False empowerment can't replace the true happiness and peace which comes from meaningful connection. Music tainted with bitterness for the opposite sex is truly poisonous.
