The Seven Trumpets of the Apocalypse

Sister Lucia when asked about what the third secret of Fatima contained, said, “It’s in the Gospel and the Apocalypse.” Sr. Lucia referenced chapters 8 and 13 of Apocalypse.

Apocalypse 8:2 And I saw seven angels standing in the presence of God; and there were given to them seven trumpets.

When Jean Guitton, friend of Paul VI was asked what the culminating moment of the Council (Vatican II) was, he said, “The fundamental moment was the last day. The day on which the Pope (Paul VI) invited statesmen, workers, intellectuals, women, handicapped persons, and indicated to each one a program of life. It was the final session of the Council, the most essential, in which the Pope gave the teaching of the Council as an inheritance to all humanity. He himself announced to me that day saying, ‘I am about to blow the seven trumpets of the Apocalypse.’”
